China’s steel bar exports up 58.2 percent in January-September

In September this year, China’s export volumes of steel bars, angles/channels, wire rods and steel plates amounted to 4.65 million mt,440,000 mt, 200,000 mt, and 4.83 million mt, up 59.3 percent, 36.5 percent, 2.7 percent, and 21.0 percent, respectively, year on year, as announced by Chinese customs. In the January-September period of the current year, China’s export volumes of steel bars, angles/channels,wire rods and steel plates totaled 31.71 million mt, 4.14 million mt, 1.71 million mt, and 36.36 million mt, increasing by 58.2 percent, 17.5 percent, 7.3 percent and 16.6 percent, respectively, year on year.
 
In September this year, China exported 11.25 million mt of finished steel, up 32.1 percent year on year, while the finished steel export volume in the January-September period of the current year totaled 83.11 million mt, rising by 27.2 percent year on year, as previously announced by Chinese customs.
