Chinese manufacturing sector PMI rises to 51.0 in February

According to China's Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP), in February this year the purchasing managers index (PMI) of the Chinese manufacturing sector rose to 51.0 points, rising by 0.5 compared to January.

In particular, in February of the current year the new order index for the Chinese manufacturing sector stood at 51.0, up 0.6, while the production index of the sector rose by 0.2 to 53.8, both compared to January. In addition, the new export order index and the purchasing index of China's manufacturing sector in February respectively reached 51.1 and 54.0, indicating increases of 4.2 and 4.0 compared to January. However, the raw material inventory index of China's manufacturing sector in February saw a decline of 0.9 month on month to 48.8.
