Chinese steel producers’ sales revenues down 11.9 percent in Jan-July

In July this year, the 99 medium-size and large steel producers in China achieved aggregate sales revenues of RMB 222.051 billion ($32.26 billion), with a total net profit of RMB 3.822 billion ($0.57 billion), according to the figures released by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).
 
In the January-July period of the current year, the Chinese steel producers in question – all members of the CISA - recorded aggregate sales revenues of RMB 1.50997 trillion ($0.23 trillion), down 11.9 percent year on year, with a total net profit of RMB 16.348 billion ($2.45 billion) compared to a net loss of RMB 5.438 billion in the same period of 2015.
