One of the largest Russian pipe producers, Chelyabinsk Tube Rolling Plant (ChTPZ), has announced that it is preparing to commission the internal anticorrosive coating line for large diameter pipes at its pipe electric-welding workshop. The total investments in the project amounted to €16 million.

The new internal coating line, with an annual capacity of up to 400,000 mt of pipes, needs to be approved by Russia's main oil and gas large diameter pipe consumers Gazprom and Transneft, after which production at the line will be started.

Currently, two lines for external three-layer polyethylene anticorrosive coating are operating at CHTPZ's pipe electric-welding workshop.
