On May 11, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Zhejiang Province announced that construction work in the province is to be halted from August 26 to September 6, against the backdrop of the 2016 G20 Hangzhou summit (September 4-5).

Accordingly, cities within 300 kilometers from the main venue for the G20 Hangzhou summit, including Hangzhou, Ningbo, Huzhou, Jiaxing, Shaoxing, Jinhua, Quzhou, Wenzhou, Zhoushan, Taizhou and Lishui, will have to halt all construction work for the period in question, which is expected to negatively impact demand for constructional steel.
