Wednesday, 10 January 2018 16:03:23 (GMT+3)   |   Istanbul

Italian plantmaker Danieli has announced that it will supply a new rebar micro-mill for US-based steel producer Nucor Corporation. The mill, which will be built in Sedalia, Missouri, is scheduled to be in operation by the third quarter of 2019. With this new mill, Nucor Corporation aims to expand its presence into new markets in the Midwest.

Danieli stated that the new mill will be designed to produce around 317,500 metric tons per year of straight rebar products, in sizes, grades and custom lengths to fulfill the most demanding construction applications.

In November last year, Nucor Corporation announced its plan to build a new rebar micro-mill in Sedalia with a reported investment of at least $250 million and the creation of about 250 new jobs once construction is complete.
