The Danish multinational Danfoss expects to put into operation in the first quarter of 2025 its new 40,000 square meter plant in the northern city of Apodaca, in the Mexican state of Nuevo León to produce, among other products, 100,000 compressors for heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) for the North American market, according to local press reports.

In addition to the initial capacity of 100,000 compressors, the new plant will produce 1.6 million pressure sensors and 1 million gas leak detection (A2L) sensors in air conditioning.

“They are new products that the company does not currently manufacture in Monterrey,” published the Mexican newspaper El Financiero.

The amount of the investment was not revealed, although company officials said that the Apodaca industrial complex, which already has other plants, will become Danfoss' largest factory in Latin America. The 40,000 square meter expansion will generate 400 jobs.
