Egypt issues dumping rates on rebar imports - unofficial reports

Wednesday, 24 May 2017 17:29:13 (GMT+3)   |   Istanbul

Egypt has imposed antidumping (AD) duties on rebar imports from Turkey, Ukraine and China, for a period of four months, ranging between 10 percent and 15 percent for Turkey, between 15 percent and 27 percent for Ukraine and standing at 17 percent for China, according to market sources. However, Egypt’s Ministry of Industry and Trade has not released any announcement on the issue yet and so the mentioned antidumping duty rates have not yet been officially confirmed.

In December last year, Egypt’s Ministry of Industry and Trade launched antidumping and countervailing duty investigations against rebar imports from Turkey, Ukraine and China, covering the period between July 1, 2015 and June 30, 2016.
