Erdemir Group orders second galvanizing line

Turkish steelmaker Erdemir Group has announced that it has signed an agreement with Primetals Technologies France SAS, a joint venture between Mitsubishi and Siemens, for the construction of the second galvanizing line at its current cold rolling facility in its Ereğli plant.

The new plant will add 350,000 mt per year to the company’s current galvanizing capacity and the total cost of this investment will be approximately $120 million. The second galvanizing line will commence commercial production 29 months after the agreement has entered into force.
