The European Commission (EC) has announced the imposition of definitive antidumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) on ductile cast iron pipe imports from India

Accordingly, the antidumping duty rates stand at 14.1 percent for the Indian producer Jindal Saw Limited and for all the other companies in India, while the antidumping duty rate is zero percent for Electrosteel Castings Ltd. Meanwhile, the countervailing duty (CVD) rates are nine percent for Electrosteel Castings Ltd and all the other companies, and 8.7 percent for Jindal Saw Limited.

The antidumping duty investigation was launched in December 2014, and the countervailing duty investigation was launched in March 2015. Both investigations covered the period between October 2013 and September 2014. The commission also initiated an anti-subsidy investigation for the same product in March this year.

The products subject to duty currently fall within CN codes 7303 00 10 and 7303 00 90.
