The European Commission (EC) has announced that it has initiated an expiry review of the antidumping (AD) duty and countervailing duty (CVD) on certain organic coated steel products originating in China.

The application for the review was filed by the European Steel Association (EUROFER), alleging that the expiry of the existing measures would be likely to result in continuation or recurrence of dumping/subsidization and injury to the EU industry.

Current antidumping duty rates for the mentioned imports range between 5.9 percent and 26.1 percent, while the countervailing duty rates range between 13.7 percent and 44.7 percent.

The products under review currently falls within CN codes ex 7210 70 80, ex 7212 40 80, ex 7225 99 00 and ex 7226 99 70.
