European commercial vehicle registrations up 12.4 percent in 2015

In December last year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the European Union (EU) increased by 14.8 percent year on year to 191,826 units, marking the 12th consecutive month of growth on year-on-year basis, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA). 
 
In ;December last year, growth was sustained across all commercial vehicle segments. Italy (+23.2%), Spain (+23%) and the UK (20.3%), ended the year extremely strong by posting double-digit percentage gains, followed by France (+9.4%) and Germany (+8.7%).
 
In 2015, new commercial vehicle registrations in the EU totaled 2,079,322 units, up 12.4 percent, rising for the third consecutive year, on year-on-year basis. Spain (+36.4 percent), the UK (+16.7 percent), Italy (+13.2%), Germany (+4.3 percent) and France (+3.1 percent) recorded increases, all year on year.
