In March this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the European Union (EU) increased by eight percent year on year to 242,049 units, rising for the fifteenth consecutive month on year-on-year basis, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA).
In March this year, growth was sustained across all commercial vehicle segments. Italy (+29.3%) confirmed its positive momentum by displaying a substantial rise, followed by France (+6.4%), the UK (+3.2%) and Germany (+2.6%). The Spanish market saw a slight decline of 0.6 percent after a period of strong growth.
In the first three months of this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the EU totaled 563,132 units, up 12.1 percent on year-on-year basis. Italy (+27.9 percent), Spain (+10.6 percent), France (+10.2 percent), Germany (+9.2 percent) and the UK (+2.2 percent) recorded increases, all year on year.
