France's steel product import value declines 10 percent in January-August

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-August period of the current year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €4.75 billion, decreasing by 10 percent year on year.
 
During the period in question, France imported €1.01 billion of steel pipes and tubes - down 24.8 percent, €331.79 million of cold rolled steel strip - falling by 5.9 percent, €231.49 million of cold drawn wire - dropping  by 1.2 percent, €220.5 million of cold rolled steel bars - down 12.4 percent, and €969.7 million of metal structures and parts - increasing by 4.1 percent, all compared to the January-August period of 2015.
