France's steel product import value down 5.5 percent in Jan-Feb

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-February period of the current year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €1.24 billion, decreasing by 5.5 percent year on year.
 
During the period in question, France imported €238.1 million of steel pipes and tubes - down 11.5 percent, €84.2 million of cold rolled steel strip - falling by 6.7 percent, €61.2 million of cold drawn wire - decreasing by 4.3 percent, €57.6 million of cold rolled steel bars - down 14.6 percent, and €230.1 million of metal structures and parts - increasing by 10.3 percent, all compared to the January-February period of 2015.
