In the first three months of the current year, Georgia's total external trade turnover with Turkey, which is the top trading partner of the country, amounted to $341.8 million, including exports worth $49.9 million, up 22.6 percent, and imports worth $291.8 million, decreasing nine percent, both on year-on-year basis, according to the data provided by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
In the first three months, Georgia's imports of steel tubes and pipes from Turkey amounted to 15,773 mt, up 34.7 percent year on year. Meanwhile, the value of these imports totaled $10.2 million, up 10.6 percent on year-on-year basis.
