German iron ore import prices down 1.2 percent in May

According to a report released by the German Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), in May this year the import price of iron ore in Germany decreased by 1.2 percent year on year and was down 0.5 percent month on month. 
 
In May, the average import price of iron and steel and ferroalloys in Germany decreased by nine percent year on year and was up 2.9 percent as compared to April.
 
Meanwhile, in May this year the import price of nickel decreased by 32.3 percent compared to the same month last year and remained stable month on month.
