German iron ore import prices down 30.8 percent in January

According to a report released by the German Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), in January this year the import price of iron ore in Germany decreased by 30.8 percent year on year and was down 11.3 percent month on month. 

In January, the average import price of iron and steel and ferroalloys in Germany decreased by 13.8 percent year on year and was down 3.2 percent as compared to December.
 
Meanwhile, in January this year the import price of nickel decreased by 34.9 percent compared to the same month of last year and was down by 3.2 percent month on month.
