As reported by Germany's Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), in 2013 wholesale selling prices of industrial products in Germany were down 0.5 percent compared to 2012. In December last year, the wholesale selling prices of industrial products in Germany were 1.8 percent lower compared to December 2012, following the 2.2 percent year-on-year price decrease recorded in November. Meanwhile, the wholesale price index was 0.4 percent higher in December compared to November.
In December, a price decline was seen in the wholesale prices of ores, metals and semi-finished metal products in Germany with a 4.1 percent fall compared to the same month of 2012, following the 3.6 percent year-on-year decline recorded in November.
