Germany-based Craemer Group has announced that it has joined forces with Italian steel producer Acciaieria Arvedi to decarbonize its production process.

As part of the cooperation, the German company will procure Arvedi’s low-carbon ARVZERO™ steel, which is made of high-quality scrap, to produce steel components for the automotive industry, significantly reducing carbon emissions.

“With this step, we are achieving a high level of sustainability, especially with regard to the decarbonization of steel production, with Craemer components providing a valuable contribution to the international automotive industry,” a statement from representatives of the two companies said.
