Germany’s industrial output down 1.3 percent in Mar from Feb

In March this year, seasonally-adjusted industrial production decreased by 1.3 percent in Germany compared to the previous month, while the corrected figure for February showed an decrease of 0.7 percent compared to January, according to the provisional data of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis).
 
As compared to February, in March this year production excluding energy and construction decreased by 1.2 percent, while the production of capital goods declined by 1.4 percent and output of consumer goods was down by 0.2 percent. Meanwhile, the production of intermediate goods decreased by 1.3 percent, while energy production increased by 0.3 percent and construction output saw a fall of 3.2 percent, all month on month.
