Hansteel increases its HDG auto steel sheet exports in Jan-Mar

Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Group (HBIS) has announced that so far in the current year the exports of hot dip galvanized (HDG) steel sheet for the automotive sector of its Hebei-based subsidiary Handan Iron and Steel Co. (Hansteel) have exceeded its total exports of these products in the whole of 2012. In January and February,  Hansteel’s export volumes of the products in question amounted to 3,300 mt and 7,300 mt respectively. Furthermore, export orders for HDG auto steel sheet received by Hansteel in the first 10 days of March totaled 15,000 mt.
 
The HDG steel sheet products mostly consist of DX56D+Z, high-strength IF HX220YD+Z and low-alloy high-strength HX340LAD+Z grades.
