In May this year, heavy truck sales (including chassis and tractors) in China amounted to 75,000 units, down nine percent month on month, while decreasing by three percent year on year, according to the preliminary data issued by cvworld.cn, a Chinese auto industry information service provider. The relatively high heavy truck inventories resulted in price declines in May.

In the January-May period this year, heavy truck sales totaled 430,000 units, up seven percent year on year.
