Indian court approves merger of seven group companies with Tata Steel Limited

India-based Tata Steel Long Products Limited (TSLPL) has announced that the National Company Law Tribunal has approved the merger of seven subsidiaries with Tata Steel Limited.

Accordingly, Tata Steel will merge with TSLPL and other six subsidiaries including The Tinplate Company of India, Tata Metaliks, TRF, Indian Steel & Wire Products, Tata Steel Mining and S&T Mining Company. The merger is expected to be completed in the fiscal year 2023-2024.

As SteelOrbis reported previously, the board of directors of Tata Group had given the green light for the merger of seven metal companies with Tata Steel Limited.
