India’s Bihar government approves auction of iron ore, limestone and nickel blocks

The government of the eastern Indian state of Bihar has approved the auction of two iron ore blocks, one block of nickel and one limestone asset, government officials said on Thursday, July 25.

According to the officials, the Jamui iron ore block has estimated reserves of 48.40 million mt and the Bhanta iron ore block has a reserve of 6.49 million mt.

The government, however, has yet to fix the timelines for starting and completing the auction process, the officials said.
