India’s Hi Tech Pipes Limited, a manufacturer of galvanised iron and electric resistance welded (ERW) pipes, plans the decarbonisation of its manufacturing facilities with the addition of 5 MW of green power through roof-top solar and open access, generation, and captive consumption of green hydrogen gas, a company statement said on Wednesday, July 24.

The company targets to decarbonise 60 percent of its manufacturing by 2030 and 100 percent by 2033, it said in the statement.

Meanwhile, announcing its performance, the company said that it had increased its sales by 45 percent in the first quarter (April-June) of the fiscal year 2024-25 to 122,155 mt, which was achieved through operationalisation of its new manufacturing unit in Gujarat.
