India’s NBCC Limited to construct 100,000 residential housing units in Zambia

Indian government-owned construction company NBCC Limited has entered into an agreement with Scirocco Enterprises Limited, Zambia, for the construction of low and medium cost residential housing units in the country, an NBCC Limited statement said on Wednesday, March 29.

It said that, under the agreement, NBCC Limited will construct 100,000 residential units to mitigate the acute housing shortage in Zambia. The construction of the housing units will be completed by 2030.

The NBCC said that similar housing construction projects are in progress in the Maldives and a social housing project has just been completed in Mauritius.
