India’s NMDC Limited sees 24% rise in iron ore output in December

Indian state-run miner NMDC Limited achieved iron ore production of 4.48 million mt in December 2023, up 24 percent year on year, a company statement said on Tuesday, January 2.

The company said that total sales during the month were recorded at 4.19 million mt, up 26 percent year on year.

During the April-December period of the fiscal year 2023-24, NMDC’s aggregate iron ore production was 31.7 million mt, down from 31.9 million mt during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
