India’s NMDC records rise of 38% in iron ore output in August

Indian state-run miner NMDC Limited has reported iron ore production of 3.41 million mt in August this year, up 38 percent year on year, a company statement said on Monday, September 4.

The company reported total iron ore sales of 3.54 million mt during the month, up 25 percent year on year.

Cumulative production during the April-August period of the current fiscal year 2023-24 stood at 16.56 million mt, up 23 percent year on year, while cumulative sales for the period came to 17.43 million mt, up 30 percent year on year, the statement said.
