Interpipe invests $8 million in new pipe finishing line

Ukrainian steel pipe and railway wheel producer Interpipe has announced that it has invested approximately $8 million in construction of a new pipe finishing line at its Interpipe Niko Tube in Nikopol, Ukraine. The company has started the pilot operation at the new line. After reaching the designed capacity, the line will be able to finish up to 93,000 mt of pipes per year.

The company stated that the new line will perform a number of pipe finishing operations before loading, including degreasing, stamping, marking, and lacquer application and it will allow an increase in productivity and will extend the life of the anticorrosive coating by up to 12 months.
