Oromiyeh Steel Mill, a privately-owned rolling mill with a designed annual capacity of 250,000 mt of long steel, was recently inaugurated by Iran's vice president Parviz Davoodi in Oromiyeh city in the province of West Azarbaijan.

The new rolling mill, built on the back of an investment of Rials 200 billion (approx. $20.56 million), will produce rebar and sections. In addition, Oromiyeh Steel is also constructing a melt shop with a capacity of 250,000 mt per year at the same site. The producer may sell semi-finished steel to the market when its meltshop comes on stream.
