Italy’s Acciaierie di Verona to increase wire rod production

Italian plantmaker Danieli has announced that it will supply a new two-strand wire rod mill along with a new six-strand billet caster for the Italian steel company Acciaierie di Verona, subsidiary of Italian Pittini Group. The purpose of Acciaierie di Verona’s investment is to increase its wire rod production of 700,000 mt per year.

Danieli stated that the new plant automation will ensure consistent quality, high utilization factor and yield and workshop coordination. Startup of the new plant is expected by mid 2018.
