Italy’s Acciaierie Valbruna commissions four mill stands

German plantmaker SMS Meer has announced that the four mill stands supplied for the Italian stainless steel and alloy steel producer Acciaierie Valbruna have been commissioned.
 
The new stands supplied by SMS Meer are able to roll 40 mt of stainless steels and special alloys per hour with high product quality.

According to SMS Meer's statement, with the modernized mill, Acciaierie Valbruna can meet a variety of demands from customers; round bars are produced in a diameter range of 20-73 mm, together with rebars in diameters of 14-50 mm and hexagonal bars in a range of 20-57 mm. Additional products include wire rod in a diameter range of 5.5-12 mm and bar-in-coils in a range of 12.5-32 mm.
