JISCO vice president facing corruption charges

Chinese anti-corruption authorities have announced that Wang Tiecheng, vice president of Gansu Province-based Chinese steelmaker Jiuquan Iron and Steel Group (JISCO), is facing corruption charges. 

The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Chinese Communist Party, the party’s top anticorruption body has accused Mr. Wang of “serious disciplinary violations,” including charges of obstructing inspections, accepting bribes, abusing power and taking advantage of his posts to seek profit for others. Mr. Wang has been expelled from the Communist Party of China (CPC) and removed from public office and is currently facing judicial proceedings in accordance with the law.
