JSW’s crude steel output rises by three percent in Q3 FY 2018-19

JSW Steel, one of the largest Indian steelmakers, produced 4.23 million mt of crude steel in the third quarter of the financial year (FY) 2018-19, showing an increase of three percent year on year.

According to the company's statement, in the third quarter JSW Steel produced 2.9 million mt of flat rolled products, rising by three percent, while its long rolled product output totaled 1.04 million mt, up 18 percent, both on year-on-year basis.

Meanwhile, JSW Steel’s crude steel production in the first nine months of the financial year 2018-19 amounted to 12.52 million mt, growing by five percent year on year. In this period, its production of flat rolled products totaled 8.73 million mt, increasing by three percent, while its long rolled output reached 2.88 million, up by 16 percent, both year on year.
