Kardemir expects EBITDA margin of 15-17 percent for 2016

Turkish integrated long steel producer Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. (Kardemir) has announced that it expects to record finished steel production of 2.1 million mt and finished steel sales of 2.1 million mt in the current year. The company also expects an EBITDA margin of 15-17 percent for this year.

On May 4, Kardemir also announced that in the first quarter of this year it recorded a net profit of TRY 249,848 ($84.979), compared to a net loss of TRY 71.74 million in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Meanwhile, sales revenues of the company increased by 5.6 percent year on year to TRY 502.75 million ($171 million).
