Khouzestan Steel to up steel capacity to 5 million mt by 2012

Managing director of Iranian steel producer Khouzestan Steel, Abdolmajid Sharifi, has stated that the company intends to raise its steel capacity to 5 million mt per year by 2012 

Khouzestan Steel's current steel production capacity stands at 3.2 million mt per year following the implementation of development projects at its steelmaking plant as well as the coming on stream of its new direct reduction iron plant in early 2009.
