In the January-April period of the current year, total logistics costs in China amounted to RMB 3.3 trillion ($0.50 trillion), up 2.5 percent year on year, with this growth rate 0.2 percentage point higher than that recorded in the January-March period this year, as announced by China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).
In particular, in the January-April period this year, China’s transportation costs, storage costs and managements costs amounted to RMB 1.7 trillion ($258.0 billion), RMB 1.2 trillion ($182.1 billion) and RMB 0.4 trillion ($60.7 billion), indicating increases of 1.7 percent, 2.7 percent and 5.1 percent year on year, respectively.
