In the January-July period of the current year, total logistics costs in China amounted to RMB 6 trillion ($0.90 trillion), up 2.7 percent year on year, with this growth rate remaining stable compared to that recorded in the first half this year, as announced by China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).
In particular, in the January-July period this year China’s transportation costs, storage coats and managements costs amounted to RMB 3.1 trillion ($0.46 trillion), RMB 2.1 trillion ($0.31 trillion) and RMB 0.8 trillion ($0.12 trillion), equivalent to 52.1 percent, 35.2 percent and 12.7 percent of the overall logistics costs in the given period, respectively.
