In the January-August period of the current year, total logistics costs in China amounted to RMB 7.0 trillion ($1.05 trillion), up 2.7 percent year on year, with this growth rate remaining stable compared to that recorded in the January-July period this year, as announced by China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).
In particular, in the January-August period this year China’s transportation costs, storage coats and managements costs amounted to RMB 3.6 trillion ($0.54 trillion), RMB 2.5 trillion ($0.37 trillion) and RMB 0.9 trillion ($0.13 trillion), indicating respective year-on-year increases of 3.2 percent, 1.1 percent and 5.3 percent.
