Manganese ore exports via Port Hedland up 135.2 percent in June

In June this year, manganese ore shipments from Australia's Port Hedland totaled 137,568 metric tons, rising by 49.2 percent compared to May and up 135.2 percent compared to the same month of 2015, according to the monthly data released by the Port Hedland Port Authority.
 
Meanwhile, in June this year manganese ore shipments made from Port Hedland to China amounted to 53,538 metric tons, declining by 41.9 percent compared to the previous month, while shipments to Singapore totaled 84,030 metric tons.
  
Port Hedland handles production from mines owned by BHP Billiton, Fortescue Metals Group and Atlas Manganese in the manganese ore-rich Pilbara region of Western Australia.
