Metinvest makes first shipment of CRC to US market

Ukrainian mining and steel producing group Metinvest has announced that it has begun to supply cold rolled coil (CRC) produced by its subsidiary Ilyich Iron & Steel Works of Mariupol (MMKI) to the United States. The products were certified according to American quality standards (ASTM).
 
Metinvest stated that a pilot batch of cold rolled products produced by MMKI was shipped to the American customers last year and generated positive feedback with regard to the quality of the supplied material and this year the plant received orders for more than 1,000 mt from several US-based trading companies. The company aims to further increase its high value-added sales on the US market.
