Mexico has initiated an anti-dumping (AD) investigation on pre-stressed wire imports from China, Spain and Portugal, according to official data from the government.

The investigation follows a request from Deacero and Aceros Camesa, which said those countries were exporting the product to Mexico at lower prices.

According to Mexico’s official gazette, DOF, both Mexican companies argued pre-stressed wire imports were arriving in the country at “considerable volumes” and at lower prices compared to those seen in these exporting countries.

The investigation will analyze imports from May 1, 2013 to April 30, 2014.
