Mexico’s economy secretariat, SE, released four new steel norms, according to separate filings published this week at the nation’s official gazette, Diario Oficial.
According to the Mexican government, the NMX-B-366-CANACERO-2016, NMX-B-013-CANACERO-2016, NMX-H-099-CANACERO-2016 and NMX-B-482-CANACERO-2016 will replace the NMX-B-366-1990, NMX-B-013-CANACERO-2008, NMX-H-099-1985 and NMX-B-482-1991 norms.
The NMX-B-366-CANACERO-2016 establishes the requisites for a number of applications at different industries that use cold drawn round wires.
The NMX-B-013-CANACERO-2016 regulates the standard specifications for galvanized cyclone wire meshes made by a number of diagonal wires and diamond-shaped openings.
The NMX-H-099-CANACERO-2016 establishes specifications and probe methods for carbon steel electrodes for flux-cored arc welding.
Finally, the NMX-B-482-1991 sets a system for training, qualifying and certifying the skills of staff that work, manage, oversee and evaluate specific results to then apply them to different methods and non-destructive test techniques.
All the four norms are effective within 60 days the publication of those norms at the Diario Oficial on October 20, 2016.
