Mexico’s economy secretariat, SE, has applied definite countervailing duties on pre-stressed wires from China, Spain and Portugal, it said on Friday, after reviewing provisional levies that were already applied to the product.
According to SE, Chinese imports of the product will pay a tariff of $1.02 per kg. Purchases of pre-stressed wires from Spain coming from Global Special as well as from other exporting companies will pay a $0.13/kg imports tariff. As for imports of the product from Portugal, the duty is $0.40/kg.
The products subject to the import duties currently fall under the Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7217.10.99, 7312.10.01, 7312.10.05, 7312.10.07, 7312.10.08, 7312.10.10 and 7312.10.99.
