Moldavian Metallurgical Plant (MMZ) has announced its preliminary production results for June 2009.

During the month in question, MMZ produced 11,556 mt of crude steel and 9,219 mt of finished steel products. MMZ's June deliveries amounted to 13,488 mt of steel products.

As SteelOrbis recently reported, MMZ restarted its production of crude steel and rolled steel production operations on June 22, after it had idled its steelmaking facilities in late April this year due to a scrap shortage at the plant. On June 22 MMZ restarted operations of the electric arc furnace No. 2 in its electro-smelting shop, while on June 23 the plant resumed production at the rolling mill 320/150 in its rolling mill shop.
