MMZ’s rolled steel output down 16.6 percent in Jan from Dec

In January this year, Moldavian Metallurgical Works (MMZ), a steelmaker based in the Transnistrian region of Moldova, produced 21,766 mt of rolled products, down 16.6 percent from the previous month. In the given month, the company’s rolled product shipments totaled 17,530 mt, including 6,949 mt of reinforcing bars and 10,581 mt of wire rod.

Between February 1 and February 9 this year, MMZ produced 13,540 mt and shipped 8,144 mt of rolled products.

The company expects to produce 47,000 mt of rolled steel products in February this year, to be delivered to Moldova, Ukraine and EU countries.
