China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (May 2-8) the overall average finished steel price in China decreased by 0.7 percent week on week.
In the given week, average prices of high-speed wire rod, hot rolled strip, common medium plate and rebar in China declined by 1.0 percent,1.0 percent, 0.9 percent and 0.6 percent week on week, respectively.
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China decreased by 0.9 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) increased by 2.1 percent compared to the previous week.
In the week in question, the average price of coal in China remained stable week on week. In particular, the average price of thermal coal declined by 0.2 percent week on week, while the average prices of coking coal and anthracite coal remained stable week on week.
