MOC: Average finished steel price in China down 1.7 percent

On February 3, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced that during last week (January 26-February 1) the overall average finished steel price in China declined by 1.7 percent week on week.
In the given week, average prices of common hot rolled sheet and high-speed wire rod in China declined by 2.4 percent and 2.0 percent week on week, respectively.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China decreased by 2.1 percent compared to the previous week. The average price of nickel (Ni >= 99.2%) decreased by 1.1 percent week on week.

In addition, in the week in question, the average price of coal in China decreased by 0.3 percent week on week. In particular, the average prices of anthracite coal, thermal coal and coking coal declined by 0.7 percent, 0.2 percent and 0.2 percent respectively.
