MOC: Average finished steel price in China down 2.3 percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (May 16-22) the overall average finished steel price in China decreased by 2.3 percent week on week.

In the given week, average prices of high-speed wire rod, rebar and common round steel in China declined by 3.0 percent, 2.8 percent and 2.4 percent week on week, respectively.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China remained stable week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) decreased by 0.6 percent compared to the previous week.

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China remained stable week on week. In particular, the average prices of coking coal, thermal coal and anthracite coal all remained stable week on week.
